Introduction

At the Kio University Cytology Training Center, we provide online video training programs of all aspects of diagnostic cytopathology and related clinical technology. The following Terms of Use specify the guidelines and regulations of our services.

1. Membership Account

1-1 Registration of membership account

In order to access our services, full compliance is required with the conditions stipulated in these Terms of Use and those related to any internet service or device that you are using.
Membership strictly prohibits sharing account access or information with a third party for any reason.
Membership requires the registration of your e-mail address, password, and country of residence.

1-2 Modification of membership information

Registered information may be updated on the Membership Information Screen.
All entries must be updated with current information.

2. Fees

2-1 Charges of our services and Billing Cycle

A Monthly Subscription Fee will be charged in accordance with the category chosen upon membership registration. Information related to the Monthly Subscription Fee may be accessed on the payment screen.
Payment will be automatically billed in accordance with the indicated payment method each month on the calendar day which corresponds to the date on which subscription is started.

2-2 Payment method

Visa or Mastercard credit cards are accepted.
Any change in credit card information (credit card number, and/or expiration date) needs to be registered.
If at any point a credit card becomes invalid subscription will be immediately canceled. A new subscription will be required to regain access to our services.

2-3 Cancellation

Subscriptions may be cancelled for any category at any time. To avoid being billed for the subscription of the following month, subscriptions should be cancelled before the monthly subscription is renewed.
Access to our service will be available through the end of the billing period. Refunds or credits will not be provided for any partial subscription period. In the case of membership account deregistration, access to use our services will not be available.

3. Deregistration

Membership information is valid until membership is deregistered. Access to deregister a membership is available on the information screen.
Once a membership is deregistered, the account will be closed automatically, and login access denied.
To use our service again, a new membership registration will need to be carried out along with payment of the Monthly Subscription Fee.

4. Ownership, Trademarks etc.

Our site, services and content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Acknowledgement that Kio University Cytology Training Center owns and retains all rights to our services, and related content viewed through the services provided, is required by the subscriber.

5. Privacy Policy

By agreeing to these Terms of Use, you agree to adhere to our Privacy Policy and Basic Policy Regarding the Proper Handling of Specific Personal Information.

6. User Responsibility

The user shall be responsible for having at their disposal and maintaining the equipment and internet access necessary for use of our services and shall bear all related costs. This includes:

1. Computers, communication equipment and all other devices for using our services;
2. Telephone lines and Internet service contracts, communication costs and any other required cost needed for use of our services;

7. Prohibited acts of users

The following are prohibited regardless of whether you are a subscriber or have deregistered our services.

1. Copy, download, stream capture, reproduce, duplicate, archive, distribute, upload, publish, modify, translate, broadcast, display, sell, transmit or retransmit any of our content;
2. Allow a third party to use the content related to our services without our consent; this includes the act of transferring or lending to a third party;
3. The use for the purpose of profit, or any other act not related to its intended purpose, through or in connection with our services;
4. Acts of using or distributing harmful programs such as computer viruses through or in connection with our services;
5. Acts that place an excessive burden on our system;
6. Acts that violate laws and regulations or public order and morals;
7. Acts that infringe or may infringe copy rights or intellectual property laws, or those of a third party;
8. Actions deemed inappropriate;

Kio University Cytology Training Center reserves the right to terminate or restrict services at its own discretion of those who violate any of these Terms.

8. Disclaimer

Kio University Cytology Training Center shall not be liable if services are unavailable to particular locations, if Internet connections are not adequate, or for any other reason. Also, no refunds will be given.
However, Monthly Subscription Fee may be refunded if it is clear that the Fee should not have been charged for any reason in the first place.
Services may be suspended without any prior notice during the following cases.

1. System construction, maintenance, and updates;
2. Circumstances in which the security of the system renders it unavoidable;
3. During instances such as fire, power outage, natural disaster, etc.;
4. When it is reasonably determined necessary for operational or technical issues;

9.Changes to these Terms of Use

Kio University Cytology Training Center reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at its own discretion without notifying the user in advance. The announcement of updated content will be communicated on this website.

10. Governing Laws and Exclusive Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by and interpreted in accordance with Japanese law.
You acknowledge that the Nara District Court has the exclusive jurisdiction to solve any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or the use our services.
